Physiography of Andhra Pradesh


Telangana was separated from Andhra Pradesh to form a separate state. After the separation, Andhra Pradesh has 13 districts. The capital of Andhra Pradesh is Amaravati.

Andhra Pradesh has three types of physical features.

They are →

  1. Coastal Plains
  2. Eastern Ghats and 
  3. Western Plateau

Even before the division of the state, Andhra Pradesh has the same three physical division. But, after the division, most of the western plateau region is lost with Telangana.
